Minimum Browser Requirements
Access to secured COG online transactions requires a browser with domestic-grade encryption or 128-bit encryption. Most available browsers support 128-bit encryption and provide the download to update their browser from their respective websites.
US export regulations allow the export of 128-bit encryption enabled browsers and upgrades for 40-bit browsers to most countries except those under U.S. export restrictions. For more information on these regulations please refer to the Bureau of Export Administration, a branch of the U.S. Department of Commerce that regulates exports through the Export Administration Regulations.
Cookies are simple text files stored by your web browser that provide a method of distinguishing among visitors to the websites. Cookies created on your computer by using our websites do not contain personally identifiable information and do not compromise your privacy or security.
The COG website requires "cookies" for online applications to ensure identification for added security. In most cases, this information is temporary in nature (called session cookies) and is deleted as soon as you leave the COG website or close your browser.
