RFP with Bid Proposal for Grady County Manned Garbage Sites
1. All contractors will submit bid to dump all the household garbage containers [6 yard/front loads] and haul to respectable landfills.
2. There are 5-manned sites-
*20th street\ 40 containers -located at 1155 20th street se
*Beck Branch \ 25 containers -located at 362 Beck Branch Road/Calvary
*hilltop \ 34 containers -located at 1864 North Broad Street
*Ridge Road \38 containers -located at 2377 Ridge Road
*Bunn Lane \45 containers -located on Bunn Lane Road/Whigham
3. At this time, there are 182 containers, with more containers that can be added to each site in the future.
4.Garbage site containers will be emptied a minimum of 3 times per week or more to prevent overcapacity and causing overfill.
5. Garbage site containers will be emptied to avoid overfill, and any debris being piled on the ground. This process will include containers to be emptied on the weekends, as well as holidays; if the need should occur.
6. Any garbage piled on the ground due to containers not emptied by schedule\ will be the responsibility of the contractor to clean up. If garbage cans continue to be overfilled and debris on the ground due to cans not being emptied frequently, as stated, this contract will be terminated.
7. The contractor will also provide at least 2 roll-off containers, no larger than 20-yard containers, at each manned garbage site for the disposal of white and brown goods.
8. The contractor will submit an additional bid price to haul and empty the 20-yard roll-off containers. Grady County will pay for this service per load hauled by the contractor. The Grady County Solid Waste Superintendent or the dumpsite attendees will notify the contractor when the containers need to be emptied. This is because the containers will not be emptied as frequently as the 6-yard front-load containers.
9. The load tickets must be submitted to the Grady County Road Dept. On the first working day of each week, in order to match invoices received from the landfill vendors. The load tickets can be emailed to the superintendent Selkins@gradyco.org
10. Grady County will only pay the contractor by the invoice received monthly by the contractor.
11. Grady County will only pay invoices on a month-to-month basis.
12. Grady County will continue to remove tires that are left at the manned sites.
13. Grady County will still employ attendants; operate and maintain each manned garbage site.
14. If the Grady County commissioners decide to develop and/or add additional manned garbage sites, this contract may be renewed.
15. Failure to meet any of the above requirements listed in this contract will result in termination of this contract.
16. This RFP with bid request will end on June 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The sealed bids can be mailed or delivered to the Grady County Road Department.

17. Grady County reserves the right ‘not to accept’ the bid proposals if they so chooses.
18. Grady County is also seeking an additional quote for all of the requirements listed above [1-17] and the contractor to furnish all containers at all manned garbage site locations. These containers will have to be the same size as specified in this request [item #1 and #7].
19. This contract will start on the decided date [to be determined] by the Grady County Board of Commissioners, and will be active for one year. At that time, the Grady County Board of Commissioners will decide whether to extend the contract or revise a new contract for a new rfp bid.
20. All contractors must be licensed and insured. \liability insurance.
